Potatoes have a lot of potassium which everyone needs, so there is a good reason to eat them. Plus they are easy. How great is that?
There are lots of ways to bake potatoes and all will get you cooked potatoes in the end. We think that this is the tastiest method. All of the spices are optional. Put what you like best on your own potato.
You Will Need:
One medium to large potato, scrubbed
Olive Oil
Salt and pepper
Garlic Powder
Dill
Touch of Red Pepper Flakes
Cumin
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Use a small metal tray or pan that goes in the oven.
After you wash the potato, dry it. Rub it with olive oil. Place it on the baking sheet.
Pierce it several times with a fork, making sure that you have really pierced it. (If you don’t, it could easily explode in the oven, making a big mess everywhere inside.)
Sprinkle on just enough to register (but not too much) the salt, pepper, garlic powder, dill, cumin, and “easy” red pepper flakes.
Put the potato into the oven on the top rack. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 1 hour.
If you’re using a smallish medium potato, check it after 45 minutes. Might be done.
